Kiko Gianocca Things happen that way. Kiko Gianocca grew up in Switzerland, in the southern part across the Alps. He first studied commerce and then trained to become a butcher working in his family’s business. However, his strong draw to create pushed him to continue other studies. He moved to Florence to pursue gold and silversmithing at the Art Institute CFP, graduating with a bachelor´s degree in fine arts. He then continued his exploration in the same field at the Escola Massana in Barcelona. From 2003 to 2008 Kiko lived in Melbourne, Australia, where he completed his master’s degree at RMIT University and also taught in the gold and silversmithing department. His home and studio are now in Lugano, Switzerland. Since 2015 he has been one of the ideators and curators of Artificio, a project devoted to promote the work of local designers.
